Reverend Lyndetta Alsberry – Ordained Local Elder

- Rev. Lyndetta Alsberry is an Ordained Local Elder at Wayman African Methodist Episcopal Church in Bloomington, Illinois.
- Rev Lyndetta is happily Married and has two sons and three grandchildren. She resides in Normal, IL.
- Rev Lyndetta Alsberry is a Master Choreographer for Liturgical Dance, Praise & Worship, and Dance Theatre. She holds Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop workshops and specializes in Creative Movement for Children.
- Rev Lyndetta Alsberry – holds a B.S. in Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance from Illinois State University. She is a member of Illinois. Assoc. of Health, Physical Ed. Recreation & Dance, and has taught as an Illinois State Certified Substitute Teacher for both Unit 5 and District 87 School Districts.
- She is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Agape’ Dance Center – and the Founder of ABC Dance Company [1992], in Normal, Illinois, she is, also, a Gospel Vocalist and Recording Artist.
- Rev Lyndetta continues her ministry by producing community-based dance workshops and mini-dance workshops for the Senior Care Nursing Home throughout the year.
- Rev Alsberry works full-time at Order of St. Francis (OSF) Family Medical Center as an FOA (Front Office Assistant), serving patients and mission partners with the best care.
Reverend Terrance L. Thomas – First Gentleman

- The Rev. Terrance L. Thomas is an Itinerant Elder with the African Methodist Church and the current Pastor of Bethel AME Church in Champaign, IL. In addition to his duties as Pastor, Rev. Thomas is also the Executive Director of Building Community Life Center.
- Rev. Thomas also sits on several community boards including the Champaign County Christian Health Center and CU at Home.
- A dedicated liberation and humanist theologian as well as an unapologetic Black Nationalist, Rev. Thomas received his undergraduate (2007) degree in Inner City Studies with a minor in Sociology from Northeastern Illinois University, a Masters (2017) of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (concentration: African American Church Leadership) and is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry from Payne Theological Seminary (Pastoral Leadership and Community Engagement).
- In 2023 Rev. Thomas was awarded the Countywide MLK Outstanding Achievement Award and became a John Robert Lewis Fellow with the Faith and Politics Institute.
